Our Middle School Achievement assembly is at the end of each term. During that assembly we honor those students who have worked hard and achieved excellent grades during the course of the term.
The awards given of Achievement Assembly include the following:
The High Honor Roll
The High Honor Roll is also compiled by using each student's grade point average (GPA). This is calculated by dividing the number of quality points (i.e., A=4, B=3, C=2) by the number of courses being taken. The High Honor Roll is made up of students with a GPA of 3.80 to 4.00 with no grades lower than a "B".
The Honor Roll
Students may be listed on the Honor Roll each term if they achieve a high grade point standing. The Honor Roll is obtainable for all students in Grades six to eight and is compiled at the close of each term using the student's grade point average (GPA).
The Honor Roll consists of students with a GPA of 3.60 to 3.79 and no grade lower than a "C".
The "On a Roll"
The "On a Roll" improvement award is presented to the student in Grade 6, 7 and 8 respectively who has shown a significant improvement during the term. The Attendance Award
The attendance award is given to the student who has not been absent or tardy for any classes throughout the term. The school wishes to honor this student for making a commitment to their learning.
The Panther Award
